The hotel is located in a pleasant town overlooking the beautiful river Tejo. the staff is friendly and welcoming, even towards pets. There is a good breakfast and a nice restaurant down by the river.
The communal corridor leading to the rooms can be noisy and uncomfortable due to other guests hanging out there.

The rooms at Vilaportuguesa were fantastic. They had a cozy seating area with a flat-screen TV, making it perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The balcony offered stunning views, adding to the charm. As someone who enjoys a homey atmosphere, I felt instantly comfortable in the room.
I personally found the soundproofing in the twin/double room a bit lacking. However, this is just my opinion, and others might still enjoy the lively ambiance it creates.

During my recent stay at a charming guest house in a picturesque town, I had the pleasure of experiencing a delicious Portuguese breakfast that provided a delightful start to my day. I also had the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing dip in their small pool after a hot day of exploring the nearby attractions. The friendly and helpful staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and satisfaction. Moreover, the modern and well-designed rooms offered breathtaking views of the river, and the hotel's riverside setting allowed for enjoyable walks and stunning vistas. Though there were a few minor issues with the lock on my room door and the lack of windows that could be left open, these did not significantly detract from my overall experience. With its great facilities, good restaurant, and friendly atmosphere, Vilaportuguesa exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a memorable stay.

We got great value for our money at Vilaportuguesa Guest House. The room was spotlessly clean and the air conditioning kept us nice and cozy. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Plus, they even made a special Father's Day card for me, which was a lovely touch. The location was perfect, with beautiful views of the pool from our room. We also enjoyed the convenience of having a nearby discount at a fantastic restaurant.
Hotel breakfast could use some improvement, maybe more variety and fresher options would be great.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, making me feel at ease during my stay. The hotel had an excellent location overlooking the river, offering stunning views. I also appreciated the fact that pets were allowed, as I had my dog with me. The value for money was also a positive aspect, as I felt I got a good deal for my overnight stay.
There were a couple of negatives during my stay. there were no windows that could be opened at night, which made the room feel a bit stuffy, even though there was air conditioning.
